The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWMadrid Spring Summer 2026)held between 17 and 21 September, was the chosen venue for the presentation of our new proposal: the Frida XXI collection. It was a very special moment for us, a meeting in which we showed on the catwalk a universe inspired by Frida Kahlo and all that her spirit represents for today's woman.

Under the heading Frida XXIwe conceived a profoundly artistic and feminine collection.

We ask ourselves: What would Frida be like if she lived in the present?

We do not seek to recreate it, but to capture its energy, its strength and its capacity to transform life into art.

Frida XXI: the spirit of the visual poetess on the catwalk

For us, Frida Kahlo is resistance, freedom and beauty in its purest form. At Frida XXI we tried to channel that strength for the 21st century woman. We created a collection that breathes sophistication and boldness, with a visual language loaded with symbolism.

The parade began with an exciting moment: Rosalía's cover of "La Llorona".which paved the way for all that was to come.

A wardrobe of symbolism, craftsmanship and complexity

In this proposal, we work with silhouettes that dialogue between the organic and the structuredbetween the androgynous and the sensual. We wanted to reinterpret Frida Kahlo's symbols from our contemporary point of view:

  • Corsets that evoke the orthopaedic pieces that she herself decorated and turned into art.
  • Skirts with pictorial flounces and ruffles, together with column skirts that enhance the female figure.
  • Necklines and sleeves inspired by traditional Mexican clothing.

We choose silk mikado with prints that recall the fresh stroke of a paintbrush, together with natural fabrics such as linen and cotton, which provide freshness and comfort without losing elegance.

Our colour palette travels pure whiteembroidered with handmade butterflies and flowers, to pitch blackthe emblem of our firm. We incorporate metallic embroidery, light feathers, painted flowers with a wet painting and cascading necklaces that multiply textures.

Susana Moreno: the muse of beauty without filters

To represent this vision, we invite Susana Moreno as the image of the campaign. A former international model and now a social educator, Susana embodies courage, authenticity and a beauty that needs no artifice. Her presence on the catwalk was a manifesto of everything that Frida XXI means.

The Malne woman: artist of herself

In this collection we show a woman who not only dresses herself: is narrated through what it carries. We work with sculptural shapes and unexpected cuts that reflect complexity and character. The Malne woman dresses with intention, turning vulnerability into strength and asserting her identity through fashion.

For us, Frida XXI is both a tribute to Kahlo and an invitation to every woman to express herself freely. We believe in fashion as a language and in the importance of making conscious choices, aligned with the principles of the Spanish slow Fashionwhich we defend from our atelier.

The value of craftsmanship

None of this would be possible without our team. Manuel Castillo, workshop manager, and each of the artisan hands that work alongside us have turned ideas into tangible pieces with precision and delicacy.

This September, we have also opened our new atelier at 17 Velázquez Street in Madrida space that reflects who we are and how we want to continue creating. Bright, close, full of magic and future.
