Last Tuesday, Malne had the honour of participating in the audience offered by H.M. Queen Letizia to a representation of the management team and designers who will be part of the 83rd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, held at the Palacio de La Zarzuela on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Spain's leading designer fashion platform.

The meeting was attended on behalf of Malne by its creative directors, Paloma Álvarez and Juanjo MánezThe recent evolution of the catwalk and the strategic axes of this new stage were discussed: boosting talent, sustainability, strengthening craftsmanship, consolidation of the industrial fabric and internationalisation of Spanish design in a context marked by the digital transformation of the sector.

Paloma made special emphasis before H.M. the Queen on the importance of the growing incorporation of women designers to the official calendar, as well as on the relevance of this catwalk due to its international character and the quality of the creators that make it up. For their part, Juanjo and H.M. the Queen also had a relaxed conversation, reflecting the mutual sympathy and interest of the Royal Household in Spanish designer fashion.

From Malne we value this event as a gesture of institutional support for Spanish fashion and the creation of authorship made in our country, and we express our gratitude to H.M. Queen Letizia for her closeness and for the interest shown in the work of all the designers present.

Malne, a unique look at Spanish luxury

For Malne, the invitation to this audience is more than a protocol milestone: it is a recognition of a specific way of understanding Spanish designer fashion. Our work is based on garments conceived in the atelierThe luxury is built on signature design, high quality fabrics and handmade finishes by specialised craftsmen, with limited editions and personalised pieces.

This philosophy fits in with the strategic lines that were discussed during the meeting: a fashion that is committed to the slow fashionOur garments are produced locally, without surplus stock, and protect both the craft and the local industrial fabric. In our atelier in Madrid, we create garments that reinforce the identity of our customers and contribute, at the same time, to the prestige of luxury made in Spain.

For Malne, being part of the audience with H.M. Queen Letizia in the context of the 40th anniversary of MBFWMadrid is, therefore, a confirmation that signature, artisanal and responsible fashion continues to occupy a central place in the conversation about the future of Spanish design.
